ETERNITY'S END is a German based power metal band with progressive, neoclassical and speed metal influences. With the core members of the band having a long history and background in the technical death metal scene ETERNITY'S END have a much heavier, more uncompromising and more technical approach to the genre than the majority of other bands who play in this style. The band has released 3 albums to date and is known for combining over the top musicianship and technicality with catchy and accessible songwriting, showcasing a more riff based approach to the style. The songs contain extended over the top guitar and keyboard solo sections and trade offs, twin guitar harmonies in the tradition of RACER X and CACOPHONY, soaring high power metal vocals and big, anthemic choruses, as well as an uncompromising commitment to fantasy and science fiction inspired lyrics. The band has just recently announced a new line up and finished recording their upcoming 4th album.

ETERNITY'S END was formed in 2014 by guitarist Christian Muenzner (ex-NECROPHAGIST, ex-SPAWN OF POSSESSION, RETROMORPHOSIS), who after a long career in the technical death metal scene wanted to pursue his life long dream of starting a neoclassical power metal band with a powerful vocalist: „Before I got into extreme metal, traditional heavy metal and power/progressive/neoclassical metal were my first love and I always wanted to have a band that plays in that style. I have always written music in that style, and for me the vocal melodies have always been a big part of the composition, but I never had an outlet for that approach in my previous bands. However, I do believe that my journey of playing extreme metal for so long has left a noticeable impact on my approach to songwriting, and this influence will always remain a part of the sound of Eternity's End, especially with our approach to riffing, which is why I like to think we do not really sound like any other band that plays this European style of power metal.“

After a very succesful crowd funding campaign the first album „THE FIRE WITHIN“ was released in 2016 through the now defunct label POWER PROG RECORDS. This first incarnation of the band featured former VENGEANCE and ELEGY vocalist Ian Parry, Christian Muenzner on guitars, Jimmy Pitts (NORTHTALE, FINAL STRIKE, ex SPASTIC INK) on keyboards and the rhythm section of Linus Klausenitzer (ALKALOID, OBSIDIOUS) on bass and Hannes Grossmann (ALKALOID, TRIPTYKON, ex NECROPHAGIST) on drums. The debut was co produced, mixed and mastered by Per Nilsson (SCAR SYMMETRY, MESHUGGAH) and is the most neoclassical sounding album in the bands discography so far. The songwriting shows strong influences of 80's YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and 90's STRATOVARIUS and SYMPHONY X, but with more aggressive riffing with roots and technical thrash and death metal. Ian Parry's vocals on the album have strong DIO vibes, and some of the songs feature big choirs with up to 300 vocal tracks. The album received very good reviews internationally and was very well received among fans of the genre.

In 2019 the band returned with their 2nd album „UNYIELDING“ which was once again financed through a succesful crowd funding campaign. This album introduced a line up change for the band and a slight shift in musical direction. UNYIELDING still features Christian Muenzner on guitars, Hannes Grossmann on drums and Jimmy Pitts on keyboards. Vocalist Ian Parry was replaced by Iuri Sanson (ex HIBRIA), the bass was recorded by Mike LePond (SYMPHONY X). With Phil Tougas (FIRST FRAGMENT) the band added a second guitar player who also has his roots and background in the technical death metal scene. Christian Muenzner comments: „The songs for ETERNITY'S END were always written for a 2 guitarist situation. I have always been a big fan of the twin guitar harmonies of bands like RACER X and CACOPHONY. This element has since our 2nd album become a constant element of our sound.“ While the music on UNYIELDING still showcases strong neoclassical elements there is also a strong 80s speed metal influence (RUNNING WILD, SCANNER, SAVAGE GRACE etc.) noticeable. The album was co-produced and mixed by Piet Sielck (IRON SAVIOR; SAVAGE CIRCUS) who also provided the choirs. UNYIELDING again received very good reviews. It was released in Japan through AVALON/MARQUEE and was the best selling power metal album in Japan in 2019. For the rest of the world the album was released through RAM IT DOWN RECORDS.

In 2020 the band signed to PROSTHETIC RECORDS and released their 3rd album „EMBERS OF WAR“ in the fall of 2021, which is the bands most succesful album to date and which gave the band a wider recognition world wide. This album still features Iuri Sanson on vocals and saw the return of original bassist Linus Klausenitzer to the band. The 2nd guitarist position was filled by Justin Hombach (DAWN OF VICTORY, ALKALOID). The arrangements on EMBERS OF WAR were more stripped down to basics and less keyboard heavy than on the previous 2 albums, moving even closer to the classic German speed metal style, but still keeping the over the top technicality in the riffing and the approach to the twin guitar soloing and the extended solo sections, as well as the huge choirs which were once again provided by Piet Sielck. It was the first ETERNITY'S END album to be produced and mixed by the bands drummer Hannes Grossmann and features a more polished and clean production than its predecessor.

In early 2026 the band announced on its social media channels that they were back and putting finishing touches on their upcoming 4th album „TITANBLOOD“ and introduced their new line up, which is basically the same as on EMBERS OF WAR, with Christian Muenzner and Justin Hombach handeling guitar duties and the rhythm section of Linus Klausenitzer and Hannes Grossmann, but with keyboardist Jimmy Pitts returning to the band. The most important line up change is the introdction of new vocalist Mike Livas (SILENT WINTER, BLOODORN). TITANBLOOD has since been completely recorded, mixed and mastered and the band are currently looking for the right label to release the album. For this new album the band brought back some of the more progressive, neoclassical and symphonic elements found on the first album, mixed with the more aggressive approach of the later releases. The aim of the band is to become more active as a live band to promote the new album and they are preparing for live shows in 2027.
